Ingeborg Løvdal Refsnes (1975) was for two decades a talented Norwegian journalist. Transitioning into photography at 30, she added an independent visual language to her curiosity for human experience in her reporting.
Closer to 40 she left a fixed job in a big newspaper to experience the spectacular nature at the west coast of Norway. From a small village she established the innovative bureau "REF." with the vision to transform anonymous interior landscapes into inspiring spaces bringing people together through visual storytelling.
Refsnes received great rewards for her aspiring entrepreneurship with nationwide ambitions. This journey took a profound turn when she encountered a significant health challenge .
She was cut off from her rich recourses for years. In her later recovery she has found her camera essential and is entering the art scene with a depth to be noticed . Her visual work seek to capture the essence of human existence, reflecting echos of vulnerability, joy, and struggle.
